South Hamilton………

Lawrence "Larry" Rizzotti, age 88, husband of the late Marion (Chisholm) Rizzotti or South Hamilton, died Thursday morning in the Peabody Glen Nursing home.

Born in Salem the son of the late Stefano and Grace (Tricomi) Rizzotti, he was educated in Salem schools, graduating from Salem High School in the Class of 1938. Mr. Rizzotti joined the United States Navy at the outbreak of WWII and proudly served as a Gunner's Mate aboard the U.S.S Massachusetts. A member of the V.F. W. Post 2005 and the D.A.V, he was honorably discharged at five years of service.

Following his discharge he became a barber and operated "Larry's Barber Shop" at Five Corners in downtown Marblehead for 50 years until his retirement. His barber shop was known for its lively conversation where he enjoyed everyone.

Mr. Rizzotti is survived by one brother Frank Rizzotti of Salem, three sisters Pauline Negri, Teresa Madison and Josephine Rizzotti all of Salem and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Stephen and John Rizzotti and four sisters Frances Rizzotti, Grace Rizzotti, Catherine Rizzotti, and Mary Sowinski.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
