Lawrence A. Carney, age 63 of Woburn, MA died suddenly on January 12, 2016. He was the son of the late Arthur E. Carney and Mary (Sweeney) Carney.
Larry was a graduate of the former St. Peter's High School in Gloucester and furthered his education at Franklin Pierce Institute in Boston where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. After working in his field for many years, his career track and interests changed. He has been employed, for fourteen years, by the Town of Burlington at the Francis Wyman School.
Larry was a talented musician with a love of music and he shared this through his work as a disc jockey and with his music store experience. He was lovingly referred to by his family as "the vinyl man".
Larry leaves behind his two sisters, Jane E. Walsh and Mary M. Carney both of Salem his niece Amy, her husband Marc and their son Christopher of California.
Larry was well respected by his co-workers and will be missed by his family and friends. At the request of the deceased, funeral services will be private. To honor Larry's memory, please reach out to someone and perform an act of kindness.
