Lynnfield…..

Laura Anne Becker, age 78 wife of the late Robert Lee Becker of Lynnfield, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Reading following a brief illness.

Born in Great Barrington, MA the daughter of the late Rudolf P. and Paulina (Bartholomew) Straleau, Mrs. Becker was educated in Sheffield, MA and had received her degree from Baypath College in Longmeadow, MA. For several years she was employed at Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, CT. After she and her late husband married and settled in Newington CT she was a stay at home mom dedicated to her family's needs.

Later, in 1967, the family moved to Lynnfield and Mrs. Becker returned to work for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield. She had also been employed by Cargnos Computer until retiring from Paul Lindmark Insurance.

Mrs. Becker is survived by two children Robert Craig Becker of Lynnfield and Bonnie Lee Becker Boyce of Danvers; three grandchildren Captain Craig Robert Becker, USN of Norfolk, VA, Jaime Lee Becker and Timothy John Becker both of Uxbridge, MA; two great grandchildren Brayden and Camden Becker and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Jean Shuts formerly of Sheffield, MA.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St.,
Salem, Ma. 01970.
