Beverly……
Kristine M. Kowalski age 39 of Beverly died Friday evening in Brigham and Women's Hospital. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer just after Thanksgiving.
Born in Salem the daughter of Jimmy L. and Kathleen M. (Riley) Kowalski of Salem, Kristine was educated at St. Mary's Elementary School, Beverly and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in the Class of 1986. She then became employed by the New England Telephone Company in Salem and more recently has been employed by Verizon on Franklin St. in Boston.
A wonderful mother, she spent much of her time caring for and spending time with her three children, David J. and Zachary P. Farrar and Cameron R. Duchesne all of Beverly.
She is also survived by a brother Jonathan D. Kowalski of Salem; two sisters Kathleen Wasserman and her husband Michael of Dover, NH and Karianne Tsimounis and her husband Vasilios of Salem; seven nieces and nephews Sarah, Michael, Hannah, Jonathan, and Ella Wasserman, Jessica Kowalski and Christopher Tsimounis; a special friend Brendan Truax or Lynn, and many close cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 17, at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North ST) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
