Kevin John Brown, age 67, of Peabody died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his devoted wife and daughters. Kevin was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Sultzbach) Brown. Born and raised in Salem, son of the late Francis J. and Marjorie G. (Kingston) Brown, he attended Salem Public Schools, graduating from Salem High School in 1967. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Kevin served in the Army as a sergeant first class and was stationed in Germany. Upon his return, Kevin attended Salem State College and was employed by General Electric in Lynn for 39 years, until his retirement in 2009. Besides his loving wife Barbara, to whom he was married for 45 years, he leaves his daughters, Kristen J. Brown and Kara M. Brown, both of Danvers and his beloved grandson, Nikolas Hines. Among his fondest memories, Kevin cherished the many years he spent with family and friends skiing in the Mount Washington Valley and especially the special time he spent with his grandson, Nikolas. Kevin is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Janice and William Coughlin of Wilmington, Delaware, aunts, uncles, brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family who cared for him deeply. He was predeceased by his brothers William Kobuszewski, Joseph Candeas, and Francis J. "Chickie" Brown Jr. A private service will be held on Thursday, September 29. Kevin's family would like to thank the staff at Care Dimensions for all the loving care and support they provided.
