Peabody…..

Kenneth George "Ken" Burda, age 45 of Peabody, died Friday July 6, 2012 in the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Danvers following and illness of several months.

Born in Salem the son of George Burda of Georgetown and the late Cynthia (Candeas) Mallard, he was raised and educated in Peabody elementary schools and High School.

Ken had worked with his father restoring vintage automobiles, but found his true passion in nature. He appreciated the beauty of the world, natural food and a vegan diet. Music soothed his soul and his sense of humor was admired by all.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his son Johnathan Burda of Rowley; a sister Deborah Burda Petitto and her husband Philip of Peabody; a brother Herb Mallard Jr of Salem and Uncle Robert Burda of Georgetown; a niece Tiffany Walker of Peabody; three nephews William Walker , Nicholas and Mason Petitto all of Peabody, and Damien Mallard of Salem and many friends.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be prior to the services from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM . Interment will be private.
