Kenneth Allen Kimball, age 59 of Danvers, MA died on January 5 after a brief illness.
He was predeceased in August of 2003 by his sister Jane Kimball Quesada.
The son of the late Francis Shirley and Eva Cherwek Kimball, Ken Graduated from Marblehead High School in the class of 1966. He then went on to attain his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University and received his Master's Degree in Marine Biology from the University of Miami.
Ken made lifelong friends working in marine science and as a copyright editor for scientific and technical books and publications. His scientific training gave him a curios eye that noticed and loved the wonders of the natural world around him. He will also be remembered as a daily longtime personage and visitor to Danvers Square.
He is survived by a niece Ava Quesade of Brentwood, CA; an uncle and four aunts Bill and his wife Priscilla Kimball of Topsfield, MA, Helen Cherwek Brown of Marblehead, MA, Phyllis D'eon of Danvers, MA, and Velma Cherwek of Virginia; and his cousins from Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia, and Florida.
Private Funeral services are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem. A memorial service will be announced in the spring.
