Our mother, our angel on earth, has gained her heavenly wings.  Kathleen A (McPadden) Guilfoyle was born at home in Bronx, New York on September 8th, 1932. Her death occurred on April 21, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Michael F Guilfoyle. The fourth child of Patrick and Theresa (McGuire) McPadden. Her siblings; Joseph, Mary, Irene, Helen and Jane all predeceased her.

She is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Manhattan and Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in the Bronx. She was proud to be a registered nurse for forty-two years.

Kathleen was the devoted mother of Michael, Kevin, Joseph (Deceased), Patricia (Mark) Beaulieu, and Kathleen (Robert) Pascarelli. She was the proud grandmother of Timothy LeBlanc; Alyssa, Caitlin, and Jennifer Beaulieu; and Amanda (Jack) Seeger and Emily Pascarelli.  The icing on the cake was the birth of her great grandson Jason (Jace) Saindon.  She was the loving aunt of Terrence, Theresa, Patrick, Timothy, Mary Elizabeth, Tara, and Eileen. She was a loving great aunt to seven.

Mom meeting Dad was a serendipitous event involving mixed up church dance locations in Manhattan. Kathleen's first job as a registered nurse had her as the charge nurse of the largest neonatal unit in the five boroughs of New York City.  Throughout her life, she loved and was greatly loved by family and friends (in particular Mrs. Louise "Bunny" O'Grady). She really liked reading, word search puzzles, the ocean, lighthouses, sand dollars, roses, bluebirds, yard sales, and riding in the car.

Kathleen's visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 4Pm to 7Pm.  Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 26, 2024 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St, Salem at 12 Noon.  Burial following at St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.  For additional information or online guest book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com.
