JONES, Kathleen (71) of Danvers, MA, was raised in Lynn, attended St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing, and became a registered nurse in 1973. Kathleen was a caregiver all her life, and always did so in a kind and affirming way over her 47-year career at Salem Hospital. Both at home, and as a Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and Nurse Manager, if you were in her care, you knew both that you were in the best of hands, and that she was in charge. It was while in this role that she met her loving husband of 30 years, Kevin Jones, and had to care for him at the hospital more than once. Together, they settled on the North Shore and raised their three children, who they both considered to be their life's work. Kathy and Kevin treasured their family getaways to the mountains and lakes of New England, and especially to Jackson Village. She enjoyed late summer afternoons at Good Harbor, local history, cursive notes, and coastal literature. A dedicated cookie conveyor, birthday balladeer, seasonal holiday decorator, devotee to ephemeral tableware, and a gifted genealogist; Kathleen always put her family first.

Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Kevin Jones, her father George Brennan, her mother Theresa Brennan, and her brothers Robert and Joseph Brennan. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Patrick Leo, Christopher Luke, and Emily Katherine. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Carole and George. Kathleen also leaves behind many loving members of the Brennan, Lamb, and Jones families.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 21st from 5-8 PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street in Salem, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, MA on Friday, March 22nd. Interment to follow at Star of the Sea Cemetery in Marblehead.
