Katherine J. (Trainor) Brault, age 74, wife of the late Robert Brault, of Salem, died Thursday morning in Union Hospital Lynn following a brief illness.
Born in Salem the daughter of the late Fredrick and Ruth (Wightman) Trainor she was educated in Salem schools. Mrs. Brault attended the Carleton School, and had graduated the Philips School in 1948.
An avid basketball player, she was graduated from the Salem Vocational School and then became employed at Champion Lamps which later became known as Norelco. Later she was employed by American Philips until her retirement in 1981.
Mrs. Brault was a longtime volunteer at the Salem Mission. She also enjoyed her family and friends and her occasional visits to Foxwoods.
Mrs. Brault is survived by a sister Barbara Griffin of Lynn and a brother James "Jim" Trainor of Salem.
She was predeceased by four brothers Leo, Edward, Fredrick, and Robert "Bob" Trainor and three sisters Ruth and Mildred Trainor and Ethel Ouellette.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
