IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen
Tyler
January 3, 1954 – July 31, 2021
Karen L. Tyler, formerly of Chelsea, passed away in her sleep July 31, 2021 at 67 years young. Karen leaves behind: her daughter Kelly Whitten, her greatest accomplishment, and her wife Tina Whitten, who Karen loved like her own, of Salem; her grandson "Cool Dude" Jason Day of Salem; her sister Irene Shea and her late husband Michael of Reading; her brother Gary and his wife Jenine and their daughter Katie Moore of Stoughton; her brother Scott Moore and his husband George Blunt of Lynnwood, WA; her beloved and loyal fur babies Moose and Dreamy; and many cousins and friends from the Post Office and Bertinis.
Karen became a second mother to all of Kelly's friends growing up even to present day. Karen has taught Kelly great teamwork and life skills by showing her to build a solid foundation in life and through her marriage. Karen was a free spirit who was so loving and caring with a great sense of humor and is known for her Facebook antics and Facebook Jail stints. She loved being a mom, attending all of Kelly's softball games, hosting sleepovers, and even letting someone stay when they had no place to go.
Karen was a huge Red Sox fan and Big Papi was her man. She passed her love of music to her daughter Kelly as well. Karen was a great friend, a hard worker, a sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and most of all mother.
