Salem….

Karen L Lord age 53, loving and devoted wife (common law) of Joseph Jennings of Salem died in the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Friday afternoon following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in New Haven, CT the daughter of the late Robert G and Edith M. (Roach) Lord and raised and educated in Salem (MA) schools. Karen the became employed by the Brook House in Salem where she had many friends during her more than 20 years of service helping to care and cook for the residents. Karen enjoyed being outdoors and walking wherever she went regardless of the time of year or the weather outside. Highly opinionated and determined she respected everyone and was always glad to lend a helping hand. Karen was a dedicated Red Sox Fan but most of all took pride in her family.

She was most at peace surrounded by family in Pittsburg, NH where she spent time "Moosing", taking care of her vegetable and flower gardens. Her warm heart, quick sense of wit and humor will be missed by all who knew her. Her dedication to her children as a single mom has been highly respected by her children.
