Karen Noel (Andree) Levin, age 74, wife of Robert Edmond Levin of Salem died early Friday morning in the Devereux House Nursing Home, Marblehead.

Born in Oakland, CA, the daughter of the late Harold Carl and the late Edith Jenny (Johnsen) Andree, she was raised and educated in the San Francisco, CA area. A graduate of Stanford University in the Class of 1959, Mrs. Levin continued her education receiving her Master's Degree also from Stanford University. She and her husband then moved to Hamilton and she taught Chemistry in the Beverly Schools system for 20 years.

Determined to further her own education, she attended Boston University, earned her Doctorate and continued teaching in computer science and statistics at Boston University and Babson College until her retirement.


She was passionate about musical theater attending venues regularly in the United States and Europe.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Levin is survived by two children, Kristen and her husband Mark Neifeld of Tuscon, Arizona and Erik N. Levin of Freehold, NJ and a grandson Malcolm Neifeld .
