Kam Chi Chiu, age 93, husband of Kai Wah (Fu) Chiu died Monday evening in the Shaughnessy Kaplan Hospital, Salem.
One of seven children, Mr. Chiu was born in China the son of the late Liheng and Zhang (Shi) Chiu. After completing he education, Mr. Chiu wan an accountant for many years until retiring
He enjoyed sports, swimming, horseback riding and canoeing.
In 1982, Mr. Chiu came to the United States with his wife and had worked and the Tiki Kai restaurant in Salem.
In addition to his wife, Mr, Chiu is survived by a son Michael Chiu and his wife Maureen Kenny Chiu of Peabody, four grandchildren Colleen Chiu of Peabody, Kathleen Chiu of Beverly and Matthew and his wife Natasha Chiu of Corona, CA and one great grandchild Brooklyn Chiu of Corona, CA.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Saturday morning before the funeral from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
