June L. Cuneo (91), wife of the late Arthur A. Cuneo, passed away Monday evening in the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA

Born in Salem MA, June was daughter to the late Henry J. Marchant and Eva E. (Boisclair) Marchant.

She leaves behind her sister Gloria B.Lampropoulos and brother-in-law George Lampropoulos of Bonita Springs, Fl. and the late Helen I. Marchant.

Also leaves behind her niece and Goddaughter Diane Morin & her husband Roger of Estero Fl. other nieces, Jeanne Fontaine & husband John of Merrimac MA, Judith Lombard of Haverhill & Gail Lampropoulos of Lynn & the late Anne Blanchette Turcotte of Danvers and one nephew Robert Blanchette of Bonita Springs, Fl.

Also leaves behind her stepdaughter Loretta Ruscio & her husband Anthony of Feeding Hills, MA along with 3 step grandchildren and 2 step greatgrandchildren.

Also leaves behind many greatnieces and greatnephews, including the late Jennifer Morin along with great great nieces and great great nephews and cousins.

June's latest place of employment was at Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital where she worked in the Business office before retiring. Prior to that June worked as Secretary for the Salem Chamber of Commerce for many years and also at the Salem Laundry Company as Resolution Manager.

June was a prominent Salemite who was very active in the Salem Community having served as past President in the Women's Salem Rotary Club and also 26 years heading the festivities on the Heritage Days Commitee including being named Grand Marshall in 1980.

June Served as Eucharistic Minister and Wedding Coordinator at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for many years.

She also Served on the Shaughnessy Hospital Auxiliary as well as serving as a volunteer accumulating 3500 hours.

June had a passion for knitting and was a lover of all animals wild and domestic, especially her fondness for cats. June was a loving sister and Aunt who always remembered friends and family with a card for all occassions.

Visiting hours will take place on Friday September 22, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located on 85 Federal St in Salem, MA.
