Judith A. (Fontaine) Rogers, age 48, loving wife of Alfred Rogers with whom she had shared over 20 years, died unexpectedly at home Sunday.
Born in Peabody the daughter of the late Robert P. and Blanche R. (Larabee) Fontaine, she was raised and educated in Salem. Following her graduation from Salem High School, Mrs. Rogers became employed at Hub Manufacturing where she had worked with her mother for over 10 years.
A dedicated mother, she enjoyed going to Cape Cod, New Hampshire and especially the White Mountains at Christmas time. Judy also enjoyed playing bingo at St. Joseph's, Salem and more recently at St. James, Salem.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rogers is survived by a son Julio Moyett of Salem, a brother Al Fontaine of Peabody ; a sister Gail Hernandez of Lynn; three grandchildren Anthony James Fontaine, Julien Scott Moyett and Tyler Jordan Fontaine an many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Wesley Fontaine and two brothers Michael and Donald Fontaine.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:30 P.M. in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3 to 7 P.M in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor of North ST) Salem.
