Judith L. "Judy" (O'Keefe) (Lubas) Kidney, age 63, wife of James E "Ed" Kidney of Danvers,died Thursday, January 21, 2010 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her family, following a long illness.

Born in Salem the daughter of the late Richard and Helene (Reddy) O'Keefe, Judy grew up in the Mack Park neighborhood of North Salem where she had many friends. A longtime parishioner of St. James Church, she was educated at St. James Grammar and High School. Judy then attended North Shore Community College studying both nursing and business. Upon completing her education she was employed for many years by Essex Office Supply as the Personnel Director.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by a daughter Jennifer Lubas Robito and Michael of Beverly; a son Jeffrey Lubas and his wife Beth of Salem; a stepdaughter Maureen Fisher and her husband Troy of Salem; a brother Michael O'Keefe of Middleton; three sisters Mary Lou Tuttle of Salem, Kathy O'Leary of Salem and her twin sister Joanne Ricciardiello of Naples, FL; her mother in law Mary Lubas of Salem; eight grandchildren Devyn, Nicholas, Hannah, Jared, Frankie, Abby, Emily and T.J. and a large circle of loving friends.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday January 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. At Judy's request there are no visiting hours. She had requested that a Celebration of her Life be held at the Polish Club in Danvers with her family and friends at a time to be announced.
