Judith L. Adams, 78, passed away on March 20 at Salem Hospital. Judy was born in Marblehead at the old Mary Alley Hospital on Oct. 17, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Gardner Graves Adams and Alice M. Gillespie Adams.
She was pre-deceased by sisters Ethel Adams Berry and Sally Adams Dittrich Bethune. She attended the Gerry, Story and Coffin elementary schools, and graduated Marblehead High school in 1962. After graduation she worked at the Bide-A-Wee restaurant until its closing. She then worked at Cranbarry in Marblehead for many years continuing on to work in retail sales as a cashier at many local businesses. She retired from Marblehead's Ace Hardware after 24 years.
She is survived by her brother Thomas G. G. Adams and his wife Patricia of Marblehead, nephew Bryan T. Adams (Jessica), niece, Kristen L. Buchanan (Chris) and Brother-in-law Earl H. Bethune all of Marblehead, several cousins, many other nieces and a nephew as well as great nieces and nephews. Judy was an animal lover and supported many animal foundations. She loved spending time at family get togethers and enjoyed traveling to visit nieces.
Arrangements: A private interment will be held at Harborview Waterside Cemetery in Marblehead on April 8 under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
