Joyce A. Stewart (68) passed away on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at North Shore Medical Center in Salem. Born in San Antonio, TX she was the daughter of the late Phyllis (Chisholm) and Charles Peck. Later on, she moved Newburyport and then to Salem where she grew up and graduated from Salem High School.

Upon her graduation, she went onto work for Ann and Hope as the head cashier and later retired from working for the City of Salem. Outside of her work, she enjoyed making flower arrangements, pens, and beaded jewelry.

Joyce is survived by: her sister Fran Vieira and her husband Frank of Salem, her sister Cindy Kane of Kissimmee, FL, and her sister Judy Reed and husband Charlie of Kissimmee, FL; her 6 nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Shadow.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday February 22, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Salem, located at 292 Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970. A funeral service will be held following the mass beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private per the request of the family.
