Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua James Taylor, who left this world on October 2, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on January 15, 1987, in Salem, MA, Joshua embodied kindness and strength throughout his life, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Josh found his calling in the hospitality industry, dedicating himself to maintaining the hotel and the water park. He took great pride in his work, ensuring that others had comfortable and pleasant experiences during their stays. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence showcased his deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on those around him.

Josh's greatest joy came from being a father to his beloved son, Ethan. The bond they shared was unbreakable, filled with laughter, adventures, and heartfelt conversations. He relished his role as a dedicated dad and took every opportunity to create cherished memories with Ethan.

In addition to his loving son Ethan and his mother, Kaitlyn (Standley) Nffis with whom he loved with all of his heart, Joshua is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Taylor, and his father Edward Taylor. His cherished sisters, January Diaz and her husband Michael and Andrea Guarino and her husband James, will forever remember the moments shared with their beloved brother. He leaves behind his beloved nephew Jason Hardin, and his grandmother Mary O'Brien. Additionally, he is survived by his aunts, Ginger Doucette and her husband James, Cathy Beale and her husband John, as well as his uncle Bob Smith-Clocher and his husband Steve, his very close loving cousins, all of whom loved him dearly.

To honor and celebrate Joshua's vibrant life, family and friends are invited to join us in gathering for his visiting hours and funeral services, which will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025 starting at 4 pm with a Funeral Service taking place at 7 pm. Services will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem where we will share stories, laughter, and fond memories, sending him off with the love and respect he truly deserves.

In the words of his family, Joshua's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched. He was a beacon of light in this world, and while he may no longer walk among us, his memory will always inspire us to live with the same passion, kindness, and joy that he exemplified every day.
