Joseph Patrick Guilfoyle passed away on November 30, 2019 after a brief illness. Joseph was born in Bronx, NY to Kathleen (McPadden) and Michael F. Guilfoyle Jr on August 6 ^th , 1962. When he was seven years old – in 1969 – his family made the move from New York to Massachusetts, and settled in Marblehead. Joseph was a graduate of the North Shore Regional Vocational School in Beverly, and received his training in masonry. Joseph worked many years as a mason on the North Shore.

When not on the job, Joseph was an avid outdoorsman, and could be seen riding his bike all over.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Kathleen Guilfoyle of Lynn; his siblings, Michael Guilfoyle of Lynn, Kevin Guilfoyle of Lynn, Patricia and her husband Mark Beaulieu of Pembroke, NH, and Kathleen and her husband Robert Pascarelli of Herndon, VA. Joseph is also survived by five nieces, one nephew and one great-nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Michael F. Guilfoyle Jr.

Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 4 from  5 PM  to 9 PM  at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal Street, Salem MA. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 5, at St. Thomas Church located at 1 Margin Street, Peabody starting at  10 AM. Burial will immediately follow the service, and will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, located at 226 North Street, Salem.
