Jonathan Steven Walsh, age 22, died unexpectedly August 25, 2014. Born and raised in Salem, he was educated in Salem schools, graduating from Salem High School in the Class of 2010. He was the son of Dyan Iapicca and Steven Walsh.
Most recently he was employed as a busser/driver at the Howling Wolf in Downtown Salem where he was highly admired by coworkers and patrons. His easy going, free spirit and sense of humor will not be forgotten by all who knew him. Jonathan loved sports especially Baseball and Golf. He took great pride in being healthy and staying in shape. He loved listening to Country Music. He is kindly thought of as being caring, sensitive, meticulous and well organized.
He loved his brother, Seaman Nicholas Walsh, U.S.N and was excited for his recent entry into the United States Navy. Jonathan was loved by many many close longtime friends.
In addition to his brother, he is survived by his step mother Lorrie Walsh of Peabody, step sister Rachel Romanski, his paternal grandmother, Edna Walsh and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased but his grandfather the late Bill Walsh.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014at 10:15 A.M from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home.
