John Claffey, of Amesbury, formerly of Lynn passed away Saturday February 1, 2020, at the age of 61. He passed at the Kaplan Family Hospice House with his daughter by his side, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born November 6, 1958 in Salem, MA, the son of the late James, and Claire (Palardy) Claffey.
He was a member of the National Guard, and a career Machinist for 30 years. He enjoyed sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his granddaughter.
John is survived by his wife, Mary (Staup) Claffey, his daughter Kasondra (Claffey) Brown, and his granddaughter Meah Brown. He is also survived by his sisters Helen Simms, and Patricia Meuse, a brother Joseph Claffey, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother James Claffey, and his sister Cecile Gergely.
