IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John "Jack"
Brophy
January 14, 1963 – April 27, 2019
John "Jack" Brophy Jr, 56, of Manchester by the Sea, formally of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2019.
Jack was a proud graduate of St John's Prep, retired Peabody firefighter and a plumber. He took great pride and joy in his work, and enjoyed taking his sons along to teach them the trade. He began his career as a plumber by going to work with his own father, and came full circle by having his father work with him after he had retired.
Jack was also a coach for many of his son's sports teams, most notably, hockey. Many kids will forever hear him yelling "move your feet"! He enjoyed this time with the kids so much, mostly because he thought of himself as a kid, too.
Jack lived his life to the fullest, was the ultimate "life of the party", always with a smile and an upbeat outlook.
Jack is survived by his wife, Julie (Walsh) Brophy, his former wife and close friend Celeste Sullivan, his sons, John M Brophy III and his wife Rachel, Benjamin Stavros, Daniel Brophy, and his new grandson, John "Jake" M. Brophy IV.
