Joan Helen Phelan, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday November 13, 2022 at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton, MA. She was born in Peabody MA on July 3 1930, to the late Edward J and Helen Phelan.

Joan was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1947. She attended Lasell Junior College and then went on to Salem Hospital where she completed the Laboratory Technology course. She worked as a Phlebotomist until she retired.

Joan was known to all her friends and family as Toni. In the summer months you would find Toni at West Beach, in Beverly Farms, enjoying life from her beach chair! She loved walking that beach, reading, knitting, and of course the Red Sox's. Every fall for years she and her best friend, Barbara Carroll, would go down to Cape Cod.  She was gregarious, generous, loving, and always up for a good laugh.

She is survived by her extended family, the McPherson family of Beverly and Kathy and
Susan Ellis of Salem.  In remembrance of Toni, please give to your favorite charity.
