Joan T. Pelletier, 80, born in Salem, MA, daughter of Eva (Peggy Davis) St. Charles and George St. Charles, pass away on Sunday, December 21st, surrounded by her five daughters, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, after a long illness.

She is survived by five children, Julie Rutkowski and husband Joseph of Winchester, MA; Cathy Julien and husband Michael Lear of Salem, MA; Paula and husband George Knowlton of Salem, MA; Regina Penney and husband Kevin of Hampton, NH; and Nicole Jankauskas and husband Edward of Kittery, ME; eight grandchildren; and her former husband Francis Pelletier and his wife Marcia of Middleton, MA.


A nurse for 40 years, Joan is most known for her years working with cancer patients at Salem Hospital, Salem, MA; Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL; Duke Medical Center, Raleigh, NC; and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. She was considered by all to be a very dedicated and compassionate nurse.
