Obituary

Jeannette R Mangold, aged 65, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on September 22, 2021. Jeannette was born to Dorothy Buckley (Calnan) on January 6, 1956 in Saugus, MA, and she lived with her mother and her four sisters in Peabody, MA.
Jeannette was the loving wife of Henry Mangold III for over 35 years, though their love story started much earlier than that. Henry and Jeannette were neighbors, as Jeannette lived upstairs from Henry. One day Henry went to visit her house, and he never left. They married when Jeannette was in her late twenties, Henry in his early twenties, and settled down in Peabody to raise their family. Before having their own children, Jeannette was a second mother to many, including her nieces and nephews, and when the time came for her to be a mother, she was more than ready.
For more than twenty years Jeannette worked at a local Walgreens, starting off on Boston Street in Salem, before moving to the Walgreens on Main Street in Peabody. There she thrived, and her special way of saying "Hello!" to her friends and customers will be missed.
When Jeannette wasn't working, or being a loving mother she loved playing games on her Kindle, playing Bomberman, or watching her crime shows - especially NCIS. She never let anything get her down, not even the Breast Cancer she eventually beat.
Jeannette is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Henry Mangold III; her sisters, Eva Bik of Townsend, April Bik and Roxanne Calnan of Peabody; her children Adam, April, Eric and Catherine Mangold; her grandchildren Kaylee, Jayden, and Brenna Mangold; many nieces and nephews, and all of the "adopted" children that she became a second mother to. Jeannette is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Buckley, and her sister Louise Melendez.
Above all, Jeannette will be remembered for being a great mom to many other children before she gave birth to her own. Her house was always open to everyone, and she was the most open and loving woman you could have ever met. If Jeanette were still here today she would want everyone to know "I love you more".
