Marblehead…….

Jeanne D'Arc (Sigsworth) Nyberg, age 99, wife of the late Andrew Nyberg, formerly of 281 Washington Street, Marblehead, more recently of Evesham Township, NJ died Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Lakewood at Voorhees Nursing Home.

Mrs. Nyberg was born January, 1912, in Newport, Prince Edward Island, Canada the eldest of six children of the late Sea Captain William Sigsworth and the late "Katie" Katherine (Walker) Sigsworth. Once she completed her education, she later moved to Marblehead, married Andrew Helge Nyberg, a cabinetmaker and resided at 281 Washington Street.

A longtime active parishioner of the Star of the Sea church, She he been employed by New England Stores in Vinnin Square Salem Salem Hospital as well as the Central Supply unit of Salem Hospital until her retirement. She was a very dynamic force to all who knew her.

Prior to moving to Marlton New Jersey in 1995 to live near her son, she had been an active and faithful parishioner of Our Lad Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead.

Mrs. Nyberg is survived by her son, William Nyberg and
two grandsons, Anders Nyberg, and Erik Nyberg, all of Marlton, New Jersey;
2 brothers Pius, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Newman, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada; a sister Hester, of Medway, MA, and many nieces and nephews on the north shore of Boston and the Canadian Maritime provinces.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem, to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 81 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945. Relatives and friends are respect fully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM. Interment will be in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead.
