Salem….

Jean Marie (LeBlanc) Bartnicki, age 63, wife of the late George Bartnicki died at home Tuesday afternoon following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Salem the daughter of the late Horace T. and Alice E. (Hodges) LeBlanc, she was educated in Salem Schools and graduated from Salem High School.

A home health aid for many years, Mrs. Bartnicki enjoyed bingo and loved to travel to Foxwoods. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her son the late Michael T. Bartnicki, she is survived by a granddaughter Tasha Dunajaski, two great grandchildren Mchala and Antonio "Turtle" Dunajaski; three sisters Ruth Ann and her husband Dwayne Jansen and Roberta O'Brien all of Wisconsin and Carol and her husband Gordon Shattuck of Salem; four brothers James and his wife Susan LeBlanc of Salem, William C. LeBlanc of Salisbury, John and his wife Denise LeBlanc of Hamilton and Richard and his wife Deborah LeBlanc of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 2:30 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Interment will be private.
