Janet L. Mullen, age 67, beloved wife for 34 of David G. Mullen of Salem, died at home Tuesday afternoon following a courageous 10 year battle with cancer.
Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Avery) Clark, Mrs. Mullen was educated in Lynn schools, graduating from Classical High School.
She then became employed by General Electric in Lynn for several years. Later she was employed by AVNET for many years until becoming ill.
She and her husband enjoyed spending time together with old cars, traveling the country and boating.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mullen is survived by two sons David and his wife Danielle Mullen of Monrovia, CA and Patrick and his wife Melissa Mullen of Marysville, Ca' five grandchildren Dillon, Travis, Carson, Kelley and Jacque and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother Leonard Clark.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North ST) Salem. Burial will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home.
