Jane M. (Przybysewski) Michaud, wife of the late Salem Police Department Safety Officer Albert Michaud with whom she had shared more than 40 years of marriage, died Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Lafayette Nursing Home, Marblehead after being stricken ill last November.


Born in Salem the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Przybysewski, she was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from Salem schools. Following her graduation from high school, she married a wonderful, loving husband and was a dedicated stay at home mother. Her pride and joy was her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.


She enjoyed the movies and never missed a film staring Gregory Peck. At one time her granddaughter, Kim, arranged a special evening for her at a Boston theater followed by dinner with Gregory Peck.


Mrs. Michaud is survived by four children Barbara Bell and her husband Ed Bell, Pat Shea and her husband John Shea, M.D., and Tom Michaud and his wife Gerry Michaud all of Marblehead and Donna Michaud of Salem.; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by a granddaughter Jennifer Ann Bell and three sisters Patricia White, Sophie Pietkewicz, and Alice Mackey.


Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
