Obituary

James F. Sullivan, of Peabody, died Monday, July 28. Jim was born in East Boston and lived for many years in Salem. Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Patricia (Gardner); his daughter Maura, of South Boston; and his daughter Kerrie, and her fiancé Tim Pelletier, of Salem. Jim had a large extended family, and he adored every member, especially his many nieces and nephews, and their families.


He is predeceased by his father and mother, James and Margaret (Heveran), both of Ireland; his sisters, Margaret and Mary; and his b
rothers, George, John and Louis.


Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, and he saw combat in the Korean War. Additionally, Jim was a longshoreman and member of the International Longshoremen's Association.

Jim loved the Salem community, and was well-known for his avid support of and attendance at his families' sporting events and other activities.
