James "Ernie" "James" Trainor, age 83 of Salem, died Monday morning in the North Shore Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Salem the son of the late Fredrick and Ruth (Wightman) Trainor he was educate in Salem schools.
Mr. Trainor was employed for many years at the Pequot Mills in Salem and later by the Peabody Essex Museum as a security guard until his retirement. More recently he has enjoyed his many friends at the Salem Mission.
Mr. Trainor is survived by a sister Barbara Griffin of Lynn and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers Robert, Leo, Edward, and Fredrick Trainor and four sisters Kathy Brault, Mildred "Millie" Trainor, Ethel Ouellette and Ruth Trainor.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral Mass on Friday at 9:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem. Interment will be private. In lieu of flower the family requests memorial contributions to the Salem Mission, P.O. Box 810 Salem, MA 01970.
