James P. "Jim" Hudson, age 42 of Lynn died unexpectedly Monday, May 12, at home.
Born and raised in Lynn he graduated from Lynn Classical High School in the Class of 1983. Jim had a reputation as a "Jack of all trades" and had been employed for many years in both the fencing and landscaping business.
The greatest joy of his life was being with his daughter Tiana. Mr. Hudson shared his passion for freshwater fishing with Tiana. For the past several years they looked forward to participating in the annual Flax Pond fishing derby.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his daughter Tiana Hudson and her mother Florence Laro of Lynn; his father Julius Gergely of Lynn; his biological father John Hudson of Beverly; a brother Johnny Hudson of Lynn; two sisters Leah and Erica Gergely both of Lynn; a longtime companion Charlene Manson of Lynn and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother Cecile (Claffey) Hudson Gergely.
Funeral services will be Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Visiting hours will be before the services on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M.
