Salem….
James M. Coughlin, age 48 of Salem, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2013. Born in Salem, the son of James E. and Christine (Foye) Coughlin of Salem, he was raised and educated in Salem. Following his graduation from Maine Maritime as a Third Engineer, he sailed on merchant ships. More recently, he enjoyed fishing and lobstering in local waters. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed wood-working and music as hobbies. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coughlin is survived by two sisters, Marie Ellen Mannion of Derry, NH and Carol Augulewicz and her husband Richard of Beverly; a brother, Mitchell and his wife Beth of Beverly and his nieces and nephews, Dylan Mannion, Ashley Augulewicz, and Kyle, Andrew and Grace Coughlin.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St James Church 156 Federal St., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-6 p.m. in the funeral home.
