Danvers…..

James L Buckley, age 76, of Danvers died Thursday July 5, 2012 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House.

Born in Salem the son of the late William V. and Anna E. (Wells) Buckley, he was educated in Salem schools, graduating from Salem High School in the Class of 1954. Following his graduation, his first job was at the City of Salem South Branch Library until he was employed by C.F. Hallin Auto Supply and Machine Shop. It was in this opportunity that Mf. Buckley found his true passion with automobiles.

After learning the ropes, he established his own business , Danvers Part Mart on Maple St, in Danvers which he operated for many years until his retirement. He had a passion for restoring vintage automobiles as well as Nascar Racing as an owner/driver.

Mr. Buckley was a long time member of the Ward II Social Club in Salem.

He is survived by a sister Ruth McSwiggin of Salem; a sister in law Mary Buckley of Salem; his close friends William Faircloth of Danvers, Robert Ciampa of Middleton and Christopher Carlson of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother William Buckley.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, July 9, 2012 in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal ST(cor of North St) Salem from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 7:00PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St, Suite B-102 Danvers MA 01923.
