Salem, MA - Jacquelyn "Jackie" Frederiksen, age 87, passed away in the early morning hours of December 20, 2016 in her home.  Daughter of the late James Stoddard and Elizabeth (Houghtaling) Stoddard Comeau and wife of the late Jacob Frederiksen, she was born in Buffalo, NY.  At a young age she spent her summers with her grandparents in Penn Yan, NY which is where she met her future husband Jacob: They married in October of 1946. Phyllis and Jacob raised their family of 9 children in Peabody, MA, Chevy Chase, MD and finally ended up in Salem, MA where she would live until her passing.

Jackie loved music, especially piano, and played the organ in church before she was married.  She was a member of the Cheerful Workers, the Salem Athenaeum and Hamilton Hall.

Jackie is survived by; her son Andrew Frederiksen and his wife Lucy, her daughter Mary Linda Antoniello and her husband Mathew, her daughter Elizabeth Haven and her husband Jeffrey, her son Thomas Frederiksen and his wife Patricia, her son Charles Frederiksen and his wife Debra, her daughter Ellen Nepustil and her husband Vladimir, her daughter Ella Brown and her husband Howard, her son Christian Frederiksen and his wife Andreea; as well as her 23 grandchildren and her 9 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband Jacob who passed in 1982 and her son John.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church, 385 Essex St., Salem at 1:00 P.M.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.  For additional information please call 978 744 0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com .
