Salem……
Irene L. (Rauseo) Lawrence, wife of the late Richard F. Lawrence, of Salem, formerly of Ashton St, Everett, died Friday afternoon, November 13th in the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
One of nine children, she was born in Everett, MA the daughter of the late Vito and Dominica Rauseo and attended Everett Schools. After graduating from Malden Catholic High School, she continued her education by attending Everett High School for an additional year and also graduating with that class.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker, she loved her family and is lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother by her children. Her pride and joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Lawrence enjoyed her home, gardening, sewing, and oil painting as well as the ocean and going to the beach. Later in life she and her husband enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Lawrence is survived by three children, Martena Fallon and her husband Francis of Nahant, Jacqueline Elliott and her husband Richard of Lynnfield and Mary Egan and her husband Richard of Salem; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Church, 161 Federal St., Salem. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
