Ilda G. Barros passed away on Thursday October 12, 2023 at her home.

She is predeceased by her mother Julia GONÇALVES PEREIRA (Caetano Olivera) from Portugal, Father JOÃO GONÇALVES PEREIRA from Brazil, sister Alayde GONÇALVES Bento from Portugal, divorced spouse Duarte Lopes Barros and son Victor Lopes Barros.

Ilda lived her life with vitality and was naturally chic. Through many health scares and sad times, she maintained her adventurous and passionately strong nature.  Ilda and her daughter would travel and explore places and had many adventures together. She was always up for even just a drive, at a moment's notice, albeit with a coffee in one hand and blueberry muffin in the other!

Survived by her daughter Olga Barros, a nephew and nieces and grandnieces/nephews in the US 2 nephews and 2 niece and grandnieces/nephews in Portugal. She will truly be missed. Love eternal.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday October 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem, MA 01970. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visiting hours at the Murphy Funeral Home followed by the burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, located at 226 North St. Salem, MA 01970.
