Henry's employment first consisted of masonry with his father and brother. He was quite proud of the jobs he did over the years for many in the community and enjoyed working alongside his family. He was always quick to point out what he built throughout the neighborhoods. However, his longtime career started as a fuel truck driver where he began at LaPointe Fuel and Company owned by his future in-laws. During this time, he met the love of his life Lorraine Bernard, where they went on to be married for over 58 years in Salem.

Throughout this time, he was an active member and participant in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union and in the Teamsters Local 25 Chapter. In recognition of his long years of employment and loyalty to the profession, he was awarded a certificate at his retirement.
Outside of work, Henry and Lorraine started their family and raised four children in Salem. Throughout the years, he had many hobbies such as playing the trumpet, building lobster traps and going fishing, spending time on his boat, and his love of eating ice cream. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife as they took many trips throughout the years including Nova Scotia, Quebec, and annual trips to Disney, Fort Meyers, Largo FL, and Texas. He lovingly adored the time spent with his two grandsons.
Henry was a member of Post 23 American Legion and 3 rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active and devoted member of the catholic church and supported many initiatives including the catholic appeals and local churches. He was a
