Henrietta J. St. Amand, 97, passed away at Salem Hospital with her family at her side on Saturday, January 23, after a brief illness. Henrietta was a lifelong Salem resident and graduate of Salem High School class of 1936. She attended every high school reunion through her seventy-fifth. Henrietta worked at Sylvania in Salem for many years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Henrietta was a parishioner of St. James in Salem. She was an extremely talented knitter who belonged to the Knitting Club at St. James.
Henrietta was the beloved and eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Spychala) Biezunski. Henrietta was predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years Rene St. Amand. Her two sisters Kay Peters and Stacia Naczas also predeceased her.
Henrietta is survived by her son, Gerard J. St. Amand and his wife Lynne, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, her daughter, Marie Swain and her husband Robert of Burlington, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Garrett St. Amand of Newport, Rhode Island, Danielle St. Amand of Albuquerque, NM, and Larissa Hebert and her husband Joseph Hebert of Nashua, NH. Additionally, many nieces, nephews, and several long-time friends survive Henrietta.

Her funeral will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd. Salem , MA. on Saturday, January 30th at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (cor North St), Salem, MA prior to the Mass on Saturday from 8:30AM to 9:30AM. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA
