Obituary

Helen (Sullivan) Cyr, age 97, wife of the late A. Ralph Cyr, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Browne) Sullivan. She was educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She was a devoted member of her family being one of seven children.
She loved going to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire as well as going to Marco Island in Florida.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Parisien and her husband James of Naples, Florida, Marsha Conway and her long-time partner Larry Baccari of Salem, four grandchildren Jay Parisien and his wife Lauren of Salisbury, Jon Parisien and his wife Tracey of Salem, Mike Conway of Salem, and Erin Conway of Ipswich, and eight great-grandchildren Jon, Jessica, Jaclyn, and Jake Parisien and Noah, Madison, Elizabeth, and McKayla Conway. She is predeceased by her brothers Edward, Joseph, and John, and her sisters Alice, Mary, and Kathryn. She is survived by a special niece, Sue Walsh and two sisters-in-law, Doris Buttner and her husband Bill, and Barbara Cyr and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 9AM to 10:30AM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem, MA 01915. A Funeral mass will follow at 11AM at St. Anne's Church, 290 Jefferson Ave, Salem, MA 01970. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Beverly School for the Deaf, 6 Echo Ave, Beverly, MA 01915.
