Gregory Basillio, age 75 of Chelmsford
Monday, July17 a very fine and loving man – husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many, passed away peacefully. He fought pancreatic cancer for one year with grace and determination.
Greg was born and raised in East Boston by his father Gregory Basillio and his mother Concetta Siciliano Basillio. Greg went to Boston English High School. He served USA Air Force for over 4 years. He then went on to attend Northeastern University and once he graduated, he then obtained his MBA from Suffolk University while living in Tewksbury, MA. He worked at Polaroid, IPE, and later Lucent Technologies while living in New Jersey.
Once he retired, he moved back to Massachusetts where he resided in Chelmsford with his wife Louann. He served on the Board of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley while devoting time to his wife, family, and loving friends who will miss him dearly. His smile, warm heart, and dancing feet will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his heart broken wife Louann (Page) of 46 years; son Gregory and wife Yoleida; sister Josephine and husband Arp; brother in law Thomas Page and wife Martha; granddaughters Sarah, Samantha, and Alexandra; nieces Christine Page, Leslie Nagy, and Susan Pearl with her wife Carol; nephew Tom Page; and many loving cousins.
He is predeceased by his mother and father Concetta and Gregory Basillio; mother and father in law Mildred and Romolo Ruscio and his daughter Laura Cosentino Chambers and husband Robert Chambers.
Thank you to all of the caring staff at MGH Boston, MGH Waltham and MGH Newton Wellesley who made this difficult journey with us. Donations in his honor to the Family Services of Merrimack Valley would be greatly appreciated, located on 430 Canal St Lawrence, MA 01840.
