Mrs. Gertrude Frances "Gert" (Kelley) Morgan, age 92, of Marblehead, died Friday, August 26th, 2011 peacefully at the Lafayette Nursing Home, following a long Illness.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Boston, MA on March 25, 1919, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Gertrude (MacMasters) Kelley. She was raised in West Roxbury graduating from Jamaica Plain High School, Class of 1938. Later in life she attended North Shore Community College in Beverly.

Mrs. Morgan was employed for 30 years byNew England Telephone . & Telegraph. in Salem as a supervisor until her retirement. She was a member and Past President of the Telephone Pioneers and had also been an active parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea, in Marblehead.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by two sons Lawrence G. Morgan of CO and Kevin F. Morgan of NH; 3 grandchildren, Daniel, Michael and Amy; and 1 great grandchild Dominic.

She was predeceased by her brother Charles E. Kelley.

Private funeral services are under the direction Murphy Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2011 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945.
