Gerard E. Ouellette, age 82, husband of Thelma (Sinclair) Ouellette died on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Born in Salem, the son of the late Ernest I and Annie (L'Italien) Ouellette, he was educated in Salem Schools. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

After his discharge, he became a career truck driver for Giant Value Food Stores. A devoted loving husband, father and grandfather, he put his family first and enjoyed camping with his children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons Donald and his wife Leanne Ouellette of Stratham, NH, Robert and his wife, Sandra Ouellette of Wakefield, NH, a brother Ernest Ouellette, two sisters, Gloria O'Brien and Yvonne Michaud, seven grandchildren, a great grandson, and longtime friend, Frank. He was predeceased by his daughter Debra Ouellette, brothers Walter and Leonard Ouellette, and a sister Denny Norris.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St, (corner of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will follow in the funeral home until 3:00 P.M.
