Gerard P. "Jerry" Gauthier, age 77 years, husband of Frances K. "Kathy" (Fernandez) Gauthier, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at his home.  Born on June 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Esther Gauthier.  He was born in Peabody, raised in Lynn & Salem, and graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute.  Following High School, Jerry was hired by General Electric. He entered the United States Airforce and served his country during the Vietnam War.  General Electric held his job for him and he returned to GE upon returning.

Jerry entered Merrimack College night program and graduated with his associate in electrical engineering and Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering.  When he completed his degree, he was an engineer working in the test facilities design and construction department.  He completed his career with General Electric after over 45 years retiring in 2009.

Jerry was an avid golfer, pool player and 10 pin bowler.

He and his wife Frances were very involved in the Greater Boston American Junior Bowling League. Jerry was the president of the M.S.Y.A.B.A. Board of Directors.

Surviving him in addition to his wife Frances are his two sisters, son, David, his grandson's Noah and Dylan and his granddaughter Ashley.
