Obituary

Salem - Geraldine J. Cole, 69, of Salem, passed away at home after a lengthy illness on October 13, 2015. She was the loving wife of Robert "Bob" Cole Jr. Geraldine was born and raised in Lynn and a 1963 graduate of Lynn English High School. She then attended and graduated from The Burdette School of Business in 1966. After raising her two daughters, she established a career as an office manager with Catholic Charities. She later took a position with Project RAP where she retired from in 1999.

Geraldine loved family vacations, skiing, and traveling. She spent her summers on Little Neck in Ipswich where she enjoyed time at the beach, and boating with family and friends. She was a vibrant member of Grace Church in Salem. She was a 40 year member of the Grace Church Choir and actively involved in church activities and committees.

In addition to her beloved husband Bob, Geraldine is survived by two daughters; Christine and her husband Thomas Lally of Walpole, and Jennifer and her husband Matthew Harding of Brentwood, NH and a large extended family. She was also the loving grandmother of Derek, John, Meghan, Scotton, and Nathan. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Orechva.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 11:00am at Grace Church, 385 Essex St, Salem, MA.
