Geraldine "Geri" (Lynch) Markarian 81 of Salem passed peacefully on October 5th at the Kaplan House in Danvers with her daughters by her side after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Cambridge but raised and schooled in Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Edmund and Edna (Carey) Lynch. After school she held several clerical jobs in Boston including Filenes and the Phone Company. When she married Al they moved to Salem and she stopped working outside of the home to raise her daughters.

Geri enjoyed bingo, traveling, going to Foxwoods with her sister and loved and lived for family gatherings and holidays.

She leaves behind her loving daughters Lisa Markarian of Salem and her boyfriend John Frassica of East Boston and Laura Markarian of Salem.

She also leaves behind her niece Kathy and her husband Stephen of Burlington and her great nephews Jonathan and Justin, the Butler family of Stoneham, the Sweeney family of CT and the Vartigan-Tremblay family of Tewkesbury.

Geri is predeceased by her husband Aleyes "Al" Markarian, her sister and brother in law Annemarie and John Sweeney of Burlington and her brother and sister in law Edmund "Buzzy" and Carol Lynch.
