Salem, MA – George Francis Osborne, Jr., age 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Son of the late George F. Osborne, Sr. and Mary E. (Crowley) Osborne and husband of Dannis (Perez) Osborne, George was born and raised in Lynn. After graduating from Lynn High School and serving in the United States Army, George began work for General Electric in Lynn where he remained employed as a machinist for over 40 years.
George was a fun loving man who always shared his happiness and jokes with everyone. He always knew how to put a smile on your face when you were down. He spread his love everywhere. He adored his grandchildren and they loved him very much. He enjoyed going on rides in the country and taking trips to different restaurants. He also enjoyed volunteering at Shaughnessy hospital in Salem.
George is survived by his loving wife Dannis (Perez) Osborne of Salem, as well as; his sons Michael and Steven Osborne and their families, his step-children, Wimpys, Willie, Max, Jorge, Yuri and Tami Fernandez, and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Osborne.
Visiting hours for George will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6 to 8PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.), Salem, MA. Interment will take place privately at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St. B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
