Gary A. Statezni, age 53, of Salisbury, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Arthur and Rose (LeBlanc) Statezni, he was raised and educated in Salem. Following his graduation from North Shore Vocational School, he joined the Pipe Fitters Association of Boston, Local 537 in Alston, MA, by whom he was employed throughout his career. An archery enthusiast, he was active at St Thomas the Apostle Church of Peabody. Most of all he enjoyed his family and family activities.
Surviving him in addition to his parents are his brothers, Daniel L. Statezni of Sunderland, MA and Arthur J. Statezni and his wife Lori (Jenkins) of Newton, NH, his two nieces and nephew, Molly, Ally Rose and Matthew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 8:45 A.M from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St Salem to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday in the Murphy Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
